Mission :
The SAP project implementation engineer participates in the migration of SAP customer environment at the country level in the EMEA region. He/she is engaged on the projects by the country sales and pre-sales consultants from either the products or the services organization.
The SAP project implementation engineer mainly acts during the pre-sales phase of the customer projects and contributes actively in the success of SAP customer environment migration from any platform to HP based platforms running HP-UX or Linux.
Positions :
- Work in SAP application and database migration, in SAP implementation and integration project.
- Participate in all stages of the SAP implementation from customer environment assessment and requirements analysis over system configuration and design until testing and customer support.
- Work in an international and virtual team together with other SAP project team members as well as with global and local business contacts from the customer.
- Ongoing support of the SAP application will be handed over to a separate organization and is not part of this role.
- Get training as required, both formal in-house training as well as on the job training.
- Frequent business travel within the EMEA region is necessary
- Ensure customer satisfaction all along the project life cycle
Profiles :
• Educational background: University or equivalent degree, in IT or relevant business area
Required skills :
- Operating Systems : HP-UX, Linux, Windows o Database Systems: Oracle, SQL Server, DB2
- 3 years of relevant professional IT background
- SAP R/3 Consulting experience o Strong interest in working in SAP implementation projects
- Fluent in conversational, written and technical English o Excellent communication skills in writing, presenting and listening
- Strong analytical skills working in a highly complex IT environment.
- Ability to assimilate information and build new expertise quickly
- Strong interpersonal skills: able to collaborate and work in a virtual team, good initiative and follow-up
- Flexibility to travel
- Have another language is a plus (German, Spanish, French, Italian)

General Summary :

- Tests and documents all aspects of a case necessary to either escalate incidents to the Development Engineering team or respond satisfactorily to the client submitting case.
- Timely and professional customer interaction (both Verbal and written) throughout case resolution
- Researches issues, responds to, and accurately resolves customer cases ranging in complexity in a timely manner.
- Notify Customer Care management team of any potential escalation issues.
- Contributes to online Knowledgebase through authoring value added Alerts, FAQ and Tech Notes
- Works effectively in teams with customers, system integrators, and enterprise account managers, product mangers, documentation, training, QA and engineering
Education and Experience :
- 1-2 years of successful Technical Support experience or equivalent.
- 1-2 years systems administration on UNIX and NT systems or equivalent
- Minimum of 2-years experience in the PC Desktop environment or equivalent.
- Clear understanding of the Internet and experience with infrastructure software products and equivalent.
